Origin and character lore
In the fantastical, maritime world created by Eiichiro Oda, Monkey D. Luffy constantly pushes the limits of his Devil Fruit (the Gomu Gomu no Mi / Hito Hito no Mi, Nika model) to protect his friends and become the Pirate King. During his titanic and memorable duel against Charlotte Katakuri in the mirror world of Tougato Island, Luffy unveils a previously unseen variant of his Gear 4: the ‘Snakeman’. Unlike Boundman, which focuses on defence and brute strength, Snakeman prioritises supersonic and unpredictable attack speed. His ultimate technique, the “King Cobra”, allows his fist, coated in Offensive Haki, to change trajectory at impossible angles whilst continuously accelerating, making it an unstoppable threat. This Figuarts ZERO figurine celebrates one of the most strategic and iconic battles in the history of shōnen manga.
